UNDP Saudi Arabia – COP16 Riyadh
Senior Communication Expert · United Nations Development Programme, Saudi Arabia
As Senior Communication Expert at UNDP Saudi Arabia, I designed and led the integrated communications strategy for COP16 Riyadh (2–13 December 2024), one of the largest international conferences the Kingdom has hosted. I built the strategy in three phases, preparation, real-time execution, and post-event impact analysis to maximize the event’s reach and advance the Sustainable Development Goals.
In the preparation phase, I developed the messaging architecture, press materials, and digital content plan in Arabic and English, and aligned communications with government counterparts, UN leadership, and institutional partners across the GCC. During the event, I directed real-time media and social engagement, managed press relations on the ground, and coordinated messaging across teams under continuous deadline pressure. After COP16, I led the impact analysis measuring coverage, engagement, and sentiment and converted the momentum into sustained institutional visibility and strengthened partnerships.
The mandate demanded precision, political judgment, and the ability to keep a complex, high-profile narrative coherent across audiences and languages, the standard I bring to every institutional moment.
